Lee Jackson Hellfire Overdrive Pedal

Lee Jackson Hellfire Overdrive Pedal

This was a pleasant surprise. I was expecting a nasty metal distortion, but I got something far more nuanced. Lee himself was a former full time touring player and a renowned electrical designer who worked with some big names and brands, but his own branded stuff is pretty niche. The left side is a bright, articulate drive, brimming with clarity and bite. The tone control works in reverse, but it's otherwise pretty intuitive to dial and great rock rhythm tone. The right side adds a layer of clipping, with switchable modes and a gain control. With both on, you can get a lot of distortion, but it still sounds clear. I feel it does it's best work in a more moderate setting. It sounds to me like a hybrid of a Bluesbreaker and a 5150, depending on settings.

Model: Lee Jackson Hellfire

Power: regular 9v negative supply, not included
Equivalent new street price (approx): n/a
